Job Description: Casual Catering/Domestic Assistants

We are looking for several casual workers within our Very Sheltered Housing developments to cover staff holidays and absence. Your skills gained in supported or similar services will help you promote customers’ independence and work effectively with customers, relatives and external agencies.
We are seeking skilled and experienced Casual Home Support Assistants to assist in the provision of care, support and housing management services. You will provide individual advice, practical assistance, direct personal care and emotional support to service users living in their own homes. You will need to achieve the SVQ Level 2 as required in Health and Social Care or other subject eligible for registration with the SSSC. The posts involve shift work over all 7 weekdays and may include waking nights for which additional payment will be made.
For the Catering/Domestic Assistants casual shifts your duties will involve preparation and serving of light meals for the customers. The role also involves domestic and ancillary tasks within the development. You will have the skills for the job, be an effective team member, and sensitive to the needs and independence of our customers. You will preferably hold REHIS food hygiene certification or be prepared to obtain this via our training.
