Job Description: Casual Sheltered Housing Managers and Casual Cleaners

The staff on our developments are key in helping us to make that commitment a reality and our Casual Sheltered Housing Managers and Casual Cleaners are critical members of our valued team. They cover staff holidays and absence and are therefore flexible, and skilled in supporting similar services. They promote customers’ independence and work effectively with customers, relatives and external agencies.
As a Casual Sheltered Housing Manager, you’ll have a range of responsibilities – including engaging with our customers, giving advice and information around their tenancy, housing support and making sure they receive the right help from external agencies. Naturally, empathy with the needs of older people and excellent communication and organisation skills (including IT) are a must. You’ll need to undertake a PVG Adults criminal records disclosure check and will preferably have an SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or be willing to achieve this.
As a Cleaner, you’ll be one of our face of Hanover and ensure high standards for our residents. Your main responsibilities will be to clean communal areas and passageways to keep our developments looking fantastic. But you’ll also carry out other ancillary tasks, working closely with our development managers to ensure our residents receive the best possible service. The Casual Cleaner post is subjected to standard criminal records disclosure via Disclosure Scotland.
