Job Description: Casual Sheltered Housing Managers
As a leading not-for-profit provider of quality housing for older people, we want to make a positive difference to our customers’ lives. Our flagship service is sheltered housing that provides homes for people across Scotland.
Delivering a service of such high quality is only possible thanks to our excellent Sheltered Housing Managers, who enthusiastically and professionally help our residents live as independently as they wish.
We have opportunities for the right people to manage our sheltered housing developments in the Scottish Borders on an ‘as and when’ required basis to cover for staff holidays and absence during weekdays.
You’ll be a calm and highly efficient multi-tasker, and excellent customer service will be your top priority. You’ll have a range of responsibilities – including engaging with our customers, giving advice and information around their tenancy, housing support and making sure they receive the right help from external agencies. Naturally, empathy with the needs of older people and excellent communication and organisation skills (including IT) are a must.
You’ll need to undertake a PVG Adults criminal records disclosure check. You will preferably have an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification – or be willing to achieve this.
