Job Description: Clerk of Works

We are a leading not-for-profit provider of quality housing for older people. We manage more than 5,000 homes throughout Scotland, providing a range of services, housing and tenure types to meet the different support needs of older people.
The Clerk of Works plays an important role, providing technical expertise and project support across the full range of Hanover’s new builds and refurbishments. The post holder will act as the key customer liaison contact before, during and after major works ensuring that our customers are left fully satisfied with their properties and buildings.
Based in our Elgin office, the successful candidate will work mainly in Morayshire and Aberdeenshire on exciting new build projects from design to handover, as well as upgrading and maintenance of existing developments and properties.
Quality communication and excellent customer service skills are essential. The post holder will meet with our customers, in their homes or at tenant meetings, explaining the work involved, receiving feedback and monitoring customer satisfaction at every stage.
A HNC or equivalent in a building and construction discipline is essential, as is a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Site Safety White/Yellow card.
The role requires travel and a car users allowance is provided.
