Job Description: Development Manager
As a leading not-for-profit provider of quality housing for older people, we want to make a positive difference to our customers’ lives. Our flagship service is our sheltered housing that provides homes for people across Scotland. Delivering a service of such high quality is only possible thanks to our fantastic on-site Development Managers, who enthusiastically and professionally help our residents live as independently as they wish.
We now have an opportunity for the right person to manage our sheltered housing development at Apsley Street, Glasgow.
You’ll be a calm and highly efficient multitasker, but excellent customer service will be your top priority. You’ll have a range of responsibilities – including engaging with our customers, giving them advice and information around their tenancy and making sure they receive the right help from external agencies. You’ll also log day to day repairs and monitor their progress – liaising with contractors where necessary – and carrying out property inspections.
Naturally, empathy with the needs of older people and excellent communication and organisation skills (including IT) are a must. You’ll be dealing with a wide range of people; from residents and their families to contractors, local community groups and other agencies – and for many, you’ll be the face of Hanover.
Your working times will be 8.30am to 2.00pm, Monday to Friday with a half hour lunch break.
This post requires a standard criminal records disclosure check.
As part of Hanover’s vital development teams, you’ll be working in one of the sector’s most forward-thinking organisations that strongly value its staff and customers. We’re Investors in People and Investors in Diversity accredited, and offer a highly competitive benefits package including generous annual leave and a choice of pension scheme.
Due to the volume of applications we receive, it is not possible to reply individually. Invitations for interview will normally be issued within 3 weeks of the closing date. If you have not been invited to interview by this date you have been unsuccessful in this instance.
CVs will not be considered. Please quote reference number above in correspondence.
Interview date: Wednesday 31 May 2017
We are an Equal Opportunities Employer
