Job Description: Finance Manager – Property
Hanover Scotland is the leading housing association for older people, providing affordable, modern, and safe housing and services across Scotland. We manage more than 5,000 homes on more than 200 housing developments, offering rented housing and acting as factoring agents to more than 2000 homeowners.
We are now recruiting to the role of Finance Manager – Property, an integral role within the Strategic Finance Department’s Senior Management team. The successful candidate will play an important part in achieving corporate and departmental objectives and ensuring we continue to provide an excellent, high quality service to our customers.
This is an important role within our business. The successful applicant will have accounting responsibility for all aspects of property assets and the operation of the Finance Property Strategic Business Unit.
The post holder will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues across the Association to provide the best advice and guidance on the strategic use and development of the Association’s property assets and developments. This post involves ensuring effective use of asset management data to inform current and future plans, to assess the financial performance of developments and identify stock that is no longer viable for the Association to maintain.
This role supports the Director of Strategic Finance and Senior Finance Manager on day to day aspects of achieving high quality, responsive, effective and timely financial services on all aspects of housing association property, and business planning for the Association’s owned stock and services delivered to owners.
The post holder will have experience of managing a team and will require an excellent understanding of strategic asset management, NPV and return on investments. A degree in a relevant discipline and full membership of a professional Accountancy body (CCAB) is required.
