Hanover development wins award

16th November 2017

Hanover Scotland’s newest development, Linkwood View in Elgin, has been awarded Social Housing Development of the Year by Premier Guarantee.

The award is shared with Springfield Properties, who built the 30 apartment specialist care facility.

The facility has been purpose built to provide innovative, high quality housing with care, enabling people to live independently while receiving the person centred care packages that they need. Developed in partnership with Health & Social Care Moray and the Scottish Government, the development includes four wheelchair accessible flats. Named Linkwood View by local nursery children, staff from Hanover welcomed the first residents in August 2017.

Every flat is designed for flexible use, maximises the use of space, is well insulated, and even features an air source heat pump to reduce heating costs. The development incorporates a communal Hub containing a reception area, common room, office, toilets and kitchen on the ground floor and toilets and lounge on the first floor.
