Job Description: Team Leader
Looking for the next step in your care career? Morris Court, one of our flagship housing with care developments, is recruiting to the new post of Team Leader.
We are looking for someone with solid and demonstrable experience of delivering care to elderly residents and ready to make the move into a team leadership role. Experience of supervising care and support staff in a similar role would be desirable but the right candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have gained relevant experience by, for example, stepping-up, or providing supervisory cover, by coaching new starts or by regularly taking the initiative to improve service delivery.
An SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is essential and a Level 3 desirable. SSSC registration will be mandatory upon appointment, and PVG Scheme Membership is also required.
The Team Leader will support the Manager to motivate and supervise a team of dedicated Care and Support Workers, as well as ancillary staff, ensuring that rotas are covered, staff receive quality supervision and customer care plans are up to date and delivering excellent care.
We are looking for someone with great people skills and a dedication to supporting our elderly customers to live as independently as possible.
The post is between 17. 5 to 30 hours per week, normally worked Monday to Friday, however, the service is 24/7 and it is expected that shifts may need to be covered by the Team Leader out with these hours.
