Job Description: Telecare Senior Operator
Last year our team of Telecare Operators helped 45,000 people all across Scotland to stay safe and secure in their own homes. We run two state of the art call centres in Glasgow and Edinburgh with highly trained, sympathetic and knowledgeable staff in each.
We help our elderly customers to stay in their own homes for longer, maintaining their independence and providing their carers with peace of mind.
We are looking for very special individuals who are empathetic but who can remain calm in sometimes very challenging situations. Your voice will be clear and friendly and you will be able to use your IT skills to access the right information and make the right decisions about the next steps.
As a Senior Telecare Operator you will manage a small team of 4-5 Operators, ensuring that they meet the requirements of their role in line with the Association’s people management policies and procedures. We know how challenging the role of Telecare staff can be, and how important it is for our Senior Operators to deliver excellent customer care; someone’s life may depend on it, after all.
We run our service 24/7, 365 days a year. Due to increasing business we are looking for a number of Senior Telecare Operators in Edinburgh to work the following shift pattern:
• 34.9 hours per week (including 4 nightshifts per 3-week rotation and a generous nightshift allowance). Starting salary £22,167 increasing yearly to £25,843 after five years. Plus nightshift allowance.
