About the Role

Are you an experienced asset manager with a track record of delivering success? Someone who is innovative and able to lead and motivate others to succeed in an evolving environment? Do you have experience of and the core values to work with a leading specialist housing association?   Do you want to help us shape the next chapter of a sector leading organisation?

If so, our Head of Asset Management & Sustainability post will offer you the opportunity to join our Senior Management Team and, working with the Director of Asset Management, contribute to our overall approach to our asset management with prime responsibility for the delivery of our reactive repairs and planned maintenance programmes for our customers.

The role includes leading on our new sustainability agenda meaning you have a real opportunity to make a difference not just within the organisation but to society as a whole.

Main Responsibilities

This role is responsible to the Director of Asset Management and is an integral part of the Senior Management Team in Hanover. You will work closely with a team of 4 operational managers and collaborate with all sections of Hanover to problem solve and develop robust processes that achieve value for money.

This is a complex role requiring the skilful balancing of multiple work streams underpinned with strong leadership qualities including:

  • A proactive contribution to organisational improvement
  • A well-developed knowledge of the regulatory systems pertaining to asset management and tenant safety
  • An ability to set and manage extensive budgets and programmes of work
  • Leading a dedicated team to achieve a strong customer focus.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver on a Hanover wider response to net zero.
