Hanover Scotland celebrates becoming a Young Person’s Guarantee Employer

We are delighted to announce that Hanover Scotland has become a Young Person’s Guarantee Employer. The Young Person’s Guarantee is a joint commitment to provide opportunities for all 16-24 year olds in Scotland through jobs, apprenticeships, further and higher education, training programmes and volunteering.

Hanover People Partner Shawn Wilson-More said:

At Hanover we have a strategic goal to be a great employer and wanted to join the Young Person’s Guarantee so that we could invest in the future of young people. Our sector is one of the few that offers true sustainable career opportunities and our investment in technology will open new and innovative destinations.

“Our teams do amazing work to support our customers to live fulfilling and independent lives and we are firmly committed to achieving the same goals for young people especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. By being a Young Person’s Guarantee Employer, we want to match our commitments with meaningful action and have already started to review our frameworks to enable a positive people experience.

We couldn’t have achieved this exciting accreditation without the hard work of some of our care teams who helped shape the application to the Guarantee and who have been at the forefront of supporting Foundation Apprenticeships and workplace programmes in their local community.

We look forward to applying this on a bigger scale and pledging our support to the next generation.”
