Angela joined Hanover in January 2021 and has a distinguished career in social housing having worked at a senior level for a number of local authorities and housing associations. She is a highly experienced strategist and business leader. She was instrumental in setting up and developing that national benchmarking club in Scotland and led the way in terms of improving performance management systems and customer engagement in the scrutiny of performance and decision making. In more recent years Angela has played a key role in influencing the national policy in housing for older people, including the role of housing support, social care and technology enabled care. Angela is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and sits on their Scotland Board. She is also the Co-Chair of the Resilient Communities Programme Board for the Government’s Dementia Strategy.
