Renfrewshire residents celebrate 20th anniversary of Montgomery Court

Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association very sheltered development in Renfrewshire has held a party to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Montgomery Court opening.

Tenants and staff gathered to enjoy a special afternoon tea with family and friends to mark the occasion.

Councillor Jim Paterson from Renfrewshire CouncilStephen McCullough, care manager for Hanover, and representatives from St Mirren Cathedral and Martyr Sandyford Church were also in attendance. Cutting the cake was domestic assistant Janine Smith who has worked for Montgomery Court since opening, followed by musical entertainment by ‘Christian’.

Carol Ross, very sheltered housing manager, said: “The festivities were a great opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate 20 years since Montgomery Court opened its doors.

“We were delighted that Councillor Jim Paterson was able to attend and give a speech whilst proud we were able to honour our long-time serving member of the team, Janine, who cut the cake. The residents and staff had a great time.”

Over the last 40 years, Hanover has been at the forefront of providing innovative care and housing to meet a range of needs, supporting residents to experience full and active lives.

The organisation will continue to lead the way in the future, utilising new technology and innovative methods of housing design and care delivery to adapt to a changing world, further improving the lives of residents whilst creating and supporting vibrant local communities.
