Hanover Scotland launches new five year Strategy and Business Plan

This exciting new strategy reflects Hanover’s commitment to its mission to provide excellent services to meet the housing needs of Scotland’s older people and to support them to be as independent as possible.
Our five year plan includes an emphasis on supporting our people to be the best they can be to deliver affordable, modern, high quality services. We will focus on developing innovative models of housing and care and support, while meeting the challenges of achieving sustainability and value for money.

This Strategy contains Hanover’s key objectives for this period as well as the route map to achieving these goals and is supported by Hanover’s Business Plan, which sets out how we will resource our plans.

Hanover CEO Angela Currie said:

“Our strategy and business plan are important documents that inform our relationships with our customers, funders and regulators. The document has been heavily influenced by our Board, customers and employees with whom we consulted widely to develop our thinking and set out our priorities.
In this next phase of Hanover’s journey, we will build on the great success that has been achieved in recent years – despite the impact of Covid-19.

To support delivery of our objectives we have also refreshed our values to ensure they match Hanover’s ambition for its culture and keep us focused on what matters most to our customers.”

Gary Devlin, Chair of Hanover’s Board said:

“Our new strategy is all about how we will deliver great homes and services that are highly valued by our tenants, particularly as they grow older. We are aware of the many challenges and uncertainties impacting on all of our lives at present, but these challenges also bring opportunities to identify new ways of working that improve the lives of our tenants and create inspiring working environments for our people. Our 5 year strategy sets out our ambition to be a provider of choice for affordable, warm and safe homes and the high standards we set for ourselves in achieving that ambition.”

Hanover has committed to working with a range of partner organisations to further explore what can be achieved, including the development of a modern digital offer for existing and future customers.
